Is HailMe a tracking app?
No. HailMe detects when you enter a place you configured and sends your chosen message. It does not give other people a live map of your location and is not designed for continuous tracking.

What is the difference between Free, Plus, and Family?
Free includes core arrival alerts with up to three active presets and one recipient per preset; SMS delivery to people who do not use HailMe is not included. Plus adds unlimited presets and recipients, custom messages, recurring and scheduled alerts, and a monthly SMS allowance for people without the app. Family shares the same Plus benefits with up to four invited members and pools SMS use in one monthly allowance.

Is there a free plan?
Yes. Every new account receives Plus features free for three days automatically—no card or store confirmation required. After that it moves to Free unless you choose a Plus or Family subscription.

What location permission does HailMe need?
To detect arrivals in the background, HailMe needs background location access—"Always" on iPhone and the equivalent "Allow all the time" setting on Android. Without it, arrival alerts can work only while the app is open.

How does billing work?
Apple or Google bills paid subscriptions monthly or annually through the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card details. You can cancel at any time in the same store; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Which platforms are supported?
HailMe is available now for iPhone. Android access is opening in stages while Google Play closed testing expands. Registered HailMe users receive push notifications; people without the app can receive SMS where supported and covered by the sender's plan or SMS balance.

How do I delete my account and what happens to my data?
Open Delete profile in Settings. Active account data is deleted within thirty days. During normal use, message history is kept for up to twelve months; data in encrypted backups is removed as backups rotate, within ninety days. See our Privacy Policy for full retention details.
